100% old vine Carignan grown on marne soils, planted between 1895 and 1900. The trunks are all gnarly and twisted and the branches reach into the air like a curled claw. These super old vines produce lovely and very intense fruit. The Carignan has a levity to it, showing crunchy blue fruits and cherry with an earthy undercurrent that keeps it grounded.
